chamber of commerce
The current Inglewood Chamber of Commerce Inc. is a non-for-profit organization formed in 2008. The Chamber serves the community and business interests of Inglewood. As part of this service, the Chamber: 

• Watches over, supports and protects the general interests of trade, commerce, industry and civil rights
• Assists in the development and growth of trade and industry 
• Actively promotes the town and region to attract visitors and new residents
• Undertakes promotional events and activities that reflect the friendly spirit of the town and region
• Works with the Goondiwindi Regional Shire Council in supporting the Inglewood  town and region. 


The president is Geoff Lyons, the secretary, Kellie Oxenford and the treasurer, Marlies May. The Chamber meets the first Tuesday of the month at 5.30pm at the Inglewood Bowling Club in Brook Street. New members are always welcome.


Several important undertakings have been accomplished by the Chamber within the last year including:
• This website
• A highly professional information brochure distributed to regional tourist information offices and available in town
• New billboard welcome signs on either side of town
• A marketing survey and communication strategy
• The adoption of a new slogan 'Catch the Country Spirit'
• Regular mentions about the town in local and regional newspapers
• The Christmas in July social event (2010, 2011)
• The new 'street-scaping' of the main street of town
